Estudio hidrológico de crecientes y cálculo de niveles máximos en la quebrada Chimice para control de riesgo en la población del municipio de Guasca | Hydrological study of floods and calculation of maximum levels in the Chimice creek for risk control in the population of the municipality of Guasca

A través de la pasantía realizada en la Oficina Asesora de Planeación de la Alcaldía de Guasca, el presente trabajo se basa en la estimación de las crecientes y niveles máximos de la Quebrada Chimice en el municipio de Guasca; donde dicho cuerpo de agua se caracteriza por tener caudales, que potencialmente generan inundaciones en las zonas aledañas al cauce principal, además de procesos de socavación y arrastre de sedimentos de diferentes granulometrías en el lecho de la quebrada. Mediante información secundaria y los conocimientos adquiridos a través de la carrera profesional de Ingeniería Sanitaria, se logra justificar y esclarecer el desarrollo del estudio, además de software como HEC-RAS (desarrollado por el cuerpo de Ingenieros de Estados Unidos) y ArGIS como sistema de información geográfica SIG. Por tanto, con el fin de disminuir estos impactos, será necesario realizar análisis de parámetros hidrológicos, en los que se contemplará la estimación de caudales máximos, precipitación, caracterización morfométrica detallada de la Quebrada y el análisis climatológico e hidráulico, así mismo se dará un control de mitigación para la población frente a dicha problemática.

Through the internship carried out in the Planning Advisory Office of the Guasca Mayor's Office, the present work is based on the estimation of the rising and maximum levels of the Quebrada Chimice in the municipality of Guasca; where said body of water is characterized by flows that potentially generate flooding in the areas surrounding the main channel, in addition to processes of undermining and dragging of sediments of different granulometries in the bed of the creek. Through secondary information and the knowledge acquired through the professional career of Sanitary Engineering, it is possible to justify and clarify the development of the study, in addition to software such as HEC-RAS (developed by the United States Corps of Engineers) and ArGIS as a system of geographic information GIS. Therefore, in order to reduce these impacts, it will be necessary to carry out an analysis of hydrological parameters, which will include the estimation of maximum flows, precipitation, detailed morphometric characterization of the Quebrada and the climatological and hydraulic analysis, as well as a mitigation control for the population in the face of said problem.
