Trends and promising directions of growth of vegetable production in Russia | Тенденции и перспективные направления роста производства овощной продукции в России

Английский. The vegetable production in Russia is analyzed, the potential for effective development of the industry is examined, and promising directions for its implementation are presented. The peculiarities of vegetable growing that influence the formation of the development potential of the industry have been identified: high value of final product for the population of the country, a large range of products with different technological characteristics, attractiveness for small business and others. An assessment of vegetable production level by categories of agricultural producers, its import, and self-sufficiency is given. Data on the dynamics of the cropland acres of open ground and the greenhouse complex of the country, yield, and production distribution by regions are presented. The main production of open-ground vegetables, 51.5% of the total harvesting in the country is concentrated in the Southern Federal District. More than 50% of the production of vegetables under cover falls on 10 regions of the country. Priority directions for realizing the potential of vegetable growing are proposed. These are: increasing the acreage under vegetable crops, including through the construction of new modern greenhouse complexes, modernization of working greenhouses, their rational distribution across the country; wider use of productive varieties and hybrids, including those of domestic breeding; development of processing, storing, packaging and marketing of vegetables and vegetable products; involvement in commodity production of producers of all organizational and legal forms (agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) holdings, households of the population), servicing and processing enterprises by strengthening their interaction, including on a cooperative basis. At the present stage, it is important to carry out scientific support to the development of vegetable growing in Russia in a comprehensive manner at all stages of the agro-food chain: from breeding and seed production to marketing and consumption.

Русский. Дается анализ производства овощной продукции в России, рассматривается потенциал эффективного развития подотрасли и представлены перспективные направления его реализации. Выявлены особенности овощеводства, оказывающие влияние на формирование потенциала развития подотрасли: высокий уровень пищевой ценности конечного продукта для населения страны, большой ассортимент продукции с разными технологическими характеристиками, привлекательность для малых форм хозяйствования и другие. Приведена оценка уровня производства овощной продукции по категориям с.-х. производителей, ее импорта, самообеспеченности. Представлены данные по динамике посевных площадей открытого грунта и тепличного комплекса страны, урожайности, распределения производства по регионам. Основное производство овощей открытого грунта, 51,5% от общего сбора по стране, сосредоточено в Южном федеральном округе. Более 50% производства овощей закрытого грунта приходится на 10 регионов страны. Предложены приоритетные направления реализации потенциала овощеводства. Это увеличение посевных площадей под овощными культурами, в том числе путем строительства новых современных тепличных комплексов, модернизации работающих теплиц, рациональному их распределению по территории страны; более широкое использование продуктивных сортов и гибридов овощных культур, в том числе отечественной селекции; развитие переработки, хранения, упаковки и сбыта овощей и овощной продукции; вовлечение в товарное производство производителей всех организационно-правовых форм (сельхозорганизаций, крестьянских (фермерских) хозяйств, хозяйств населения), обслуживающих и перерабатывающих предприятий посредством усиления их взаимодействия, в том числе и на кооперативной основе. На современном этапе важно осуществлять научное сопровождение развития овощеводства в России комплексно, на всех стадиях агропродовольственной цепочки: от селекции и семеноводства до сбыта и потребления.
