The authors analyze the market of organic products from the aspect of consumption. The assumption is that knowledge of the eating habits of consumers of organic products in the territory of the Republic of Serbia is important because it gives the opportunity to draw certain conclusions and further improve the domestic market of these products. The sample consisted of 496 respondents, older than 18 years, of different levels of education, marital status and other socio-demographic characteristics. The results showed that the respondents from the analyzed sample in a fairly large proportion, but with different frequency, use organic food products in their household. Fresh fruits and vegetables are most often consumed. When asked how to improve the consumption of these food products, ie, under what conditions the respondents would use these products more often, it is possible to single out the dominant question of the price of these food products. Also, a certain amount of distrust towards what is "organic" in general has come to the fore, which means that it is necessary to work on building trust and in the institutional sense to strengthen the system of producer certification and remove doubts about whether the product is organic or not. Market supply was assessed as relatively poor and the intention of the respondents to continue using organic products in the future showed that a total of 67.75% of respondents intend to buy these products in the future, with 39.52% doing so and planning to continue with such habits. These results showed that the consumption of organic products in the Republic of Serbia is relatively favorable, noting that there are opportunities to further encourage the use of organic products in the diet of the population.
