Abstract: Useful and practical information for understanding and working with government offices, procedures, and individuals most closely involved with health issues is reviewed. The term "health" is limited to jurisdiction over health services, environmental and occupational health, and research, resources, and financing. Legislative involvement, processes, and activities; Congressional support offices; major Congressional health committees; related health committees; Congressional member of these committees and their aids; and committee jurisdiction are listed and described.
