Abstract: A food consumption survey based on 24-hour recalls for 3024 individuals in Hawaii, as part of the USDA national survey in 1977-78, provides information on food intake, nutrient contributions by major food group, the average nutritive value of food intakes, and household characteristics. The major findings including sources of energy and dietary adequacy expressed as percentage of RDA are presented in summary form. Tables present information in 18 age-sex categories for 10 major food groups and 44 subgroups.
