Effects of Management Practices on Yield and Comparison of Three Grass-Legume Mixtures
1963
Hunt, O. J. | Wagner, R. E.
SynopsisHeight of cut, frequency and date of first cutting had marked influence on yields. Cutting to 2 inches produced more forage with a greater percentage of clover than cutting to 4 inches. Less frequent cutting produced more than frequent cutting for the first two seasons but decreased the clover content and yield in the third year. Less frequent cutting at a delayed first cutting date maintained good yields of smooth bromegrass.
