This paper investigates and compares the performance of conventional and lightweight structured office buildings with and without the use of phase change materials (PCM). The parametric study is conducted by diversifying parameters such as the type of construction of the building (conventional or lightweight), the orientation and the location of the building. Specifically, the investigation and the comparison of the performance of PCMwill be studied with regard to buildings’ energy performance.
