Variation in dry matter (D.M) content in eight genotypesof Mung bean (Vigna radiata (L) Wilczeck) was studied. The values of dry matter per plant obtained during Khar if seasons were higher than those of summer seasons. Dry matter per plant affected the seed yield. The total dry matter per plant had significantly positive correlation with seed yield and biological yield. TM 98–50 had higher total dry matter with high seed yield and biological yield. Early flowering genotype (TARM-18) had higher seed yield and low biological yield with low DM. Medium flowering genotype (TM 99–50) recorded highest seed yield with low DM content and biological yield. Degree days to flowering had non-significant poor correlation with total dry matter content. The genotype HUM-1 had highest protein content (25.37%) combined with low seed yield and medium DM. The total dry matter also had non-significant weak correlation with protein content (%) in seeds.
