Plasmodium falciparum, human, profound depression of delayed cutaneous responses to phytohemagglutinin and soluble protein antigens was associated with high parasitemia and cerebral malaria, no consistent effect of parasite infection on number of blood T and B cells or on in vitro lymphocyte proliferative responses to lectins was detected, in vitro proliferative responses to candidin were suppressed in parallel with delayed cutaneous responses to the same antigen: Thailand
