Overwinter Storage of Walker Poplar Cuttings
1982
Rooting of cuttings was 82% after overwinter storage at −2 °C, 73% after +2 °C storage, and only 60% after being heeled-in outdoors. Budbreak after planting was earliest for the heeled-in cuttings and latest for those refrigerated at −2 °C, but length of the subsequent top growth was similar for all storage treatments.
