Illustrol, a seco-norpregnane derivative from Mandevilla illustris

A 14:15-seco-15-norpregnane derivative, named illustrol, was isolated from the rhizomes of Mandevilla illustris. Its structure and relative configuration were determined by 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy.
