Summary We carried out phosphorus desorption examinations every five minutes in continuous aqueous streams and streams of ammonium lactate solutions in samples taken from the ploughed layer ten times during vegetation in the main phenological phases on calcareous chernozem soil in a winter wheat experiment using a fill-up dose of superphosphate fertiliser, while also measuring crops’ nutrient uptake. The results obtained are summarised as follows: The duration of desorption measured in the aqueous stream did not prove to be significant in the average of treatments, but it did in the phosphorus treatments, more specifically in the the maximum 25 minutes long fraction. The phosphorus treatments indicated statistically justifiable excesses both in the average of fractions and in each fraction in comparison with N and NK treatments. Seasonal dynamics changed mainly in line with climatic and its associated solubility conditions. As for the ammonium lactate stream, the concentrations of P increased as the fractional time was passing and they reached their maximum in the 25 minutes long fraction both in the average of treatments and within each treatment. The effect of phosphorus fertilisation can be justified during the application of both extraction agent. Seasonal dynamics showed a mild increase – depending on the environmental (more specifically, climatic) conditions – in the average of treatments by the time of harvest. As regards crops’ uptake, desorption changed similarly concerning both extraction agents.
