During the past 10 years polymer coating made significant contribution to the seed industry by reducing the hazards of agrochemicals to people, animals and the environment, in improving the preciseness of chemical loading on to seeds, and in improving the efficiency of seed treating chemicals due to both precise loading and the reduced loss of seed treatment chemicals (Halmer, 1988). In pre storage seed treatment, pesticide and polymers are fetching importance on extended utility as seed. Based on the views of the above researchers, the present seed storage studies with Male parent CLN 2123A (male parent) were evaluated for 10 months under ambient condition after imposing seed treatments with polymer, pesticides and their combinations in three different containers selected based on their response to atmospheric moisture. The seed storage studies with Male parent of COTH 2 hybrid (CLN 2123Amale) revealed that the seeds treated with polymer + Carbendazim + Imidachloprid @ 3 g + 2 g + 2 ml 5ml of water kg-1 of seed and stored in poly laminated aluminium foil pouches maintained 83 per cent germination after 10 months of storage.
