Schistosoma mansoni, genetics of hycanthone resistance analyzed in laboratory mouse using method of adult worm transfer to perform schistosome crosses, results could be confirmed using traditional technique of single-sex infections, concluded that hycanthone resistance behaves like autosomal recessive trait, suggested that hycanthone-resistant schistosomes are deficient in some factor possibly an enzymatic activity
