Consumer study--frozen fried chicken

Five brands of frozen fried chicken and two commercially prepared chicken products from take out fast food establishments were compared. Frozen products were evaluated for number of pieces, flavor, texture, accuracy of directions, yield, ingredient proportions, cost per ounce, cost per serving, and packaging. The full description of one frozen product is provided. Frozen products cost a little over 8 cents/ounce while commercial chicken costs 23 cents/ounce. Prices of nine other fresh and frozen entrees are included for comparison.
