Extract: In this paper we present a conceptual framework for linking production and investment decisions to the financing decisions via a risk constraint. While most of the literature on risk and risk response treats only production and price risk (i.e., business risk), we intend to introduce the notion of financial risk explicitly into the decision-making process.
