An experimentwasplanned and executed during Rabi season 2011–12 at Department of Agricultural Entomology, College of Agriculture, Pune. Amongst the mycoinsecticides, Metarrhizium anisopliae, Verticillium lecanii and Beauveria bassiana resulted in 81.02, 72.44 and 65.79 per cent reduction over control, respectively. The botanicals viz., NSKE and dashparni extract gave protection up to the tune of 62.15 and 60.75 per cent, respectively. The data computed on the overall per cent protection given by the test treatments over the untreated check revealed that the treatment with thiamethoxam 25 g a. i./ha) showed maximum protection up to 92.84 per cent. The trend of field efficacy of the various treatments against safflower aphids emerged as treatedcheck (Thiamethoxam 25 WG) > M. anisopliae > V. lecanii > B. bassiana > NSKE > Dashparni extract.
