Selenium content in muscle tissue of wildlife in Khabarovsk territory

The lowest level of selenium is established in muscle tissue of moose, badger, and squirrel (64–101 μg/kg fresh weight) and the highest in that of Manchurian wapiti, Manchurian roe deer, reindeer, wild boar, and fox (216–269 μg/kg), as well as birds: pheasant, duck, goose (210–249 μg/kg). The content of the trace element in muscle tissue of cattle and pigs is 86–90 μg/kg.
