Patil, R.K. | Halappa, B. | Guru, P.N.
The test chemical, dinotefuran 4%+ acephate 50% (54 SG) was formulated in four doses at 439 g/ha (12+225g ai./ha), 496 g/ha (18+250g a.i./ha), 550 g/ha (22+275g a.i./ha) and 1100 g/ha (44+550g a.i./ha). These doses were tested in comparison with individual treatments viz., dinotefuran 20% SG 125 g/ha (25g a.i./ha), acephate 75% SP 400 g/ha (300g a.i./ha) and standard check, imidacloprid 17.8 SL 125 ml/ha (22.25g a.i./ha) along with an untreated check (water spray). Among these treatments, dinotefuran 4%+ acephate 50% (54%) SG @ 22+275g a.i./ha at 15 days interval was effective in reducing the sucking pest population and was followed by dinotefuran 20 SG @ 25g a.i./ha. Further, the different doses of test chemical did not show any deleterious effect on the natural enemy population. Overall, the test chemical doses of 22+275g a.i./ha and 18+250g a.i./ha were able to reduce the sucking pests infestation in addition also increase the kapas yield.
