A piperitenone oxide chemotype of Mentha longifolia (L.) Huds. growing wild in Jordan

The essential oil obtained from Mentha longifolia plants growing wild in Jordan has been analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The main constituent has been isolated and identified as piperitenone oxide (83.7%).
