Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are used for widespread transfer and sharing of information. Agricultural extension, which depends to a large extent on information exchange between and among farmers on one hand, and a broad range of other actors on the other, has been identified as one area in which ICTs can have a particularly significant impact. ICTs are, however, still facing various problems like internet connectivity, irregular power supply, problems with content updation and content management in local languages, etc. Therefore, a study was designed and undertaken to develop a possible strategy for ICTs in agricultural extension system in Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh. A proportionate number of respondents were selected both from public and private sectors. Findings shows that majority of the respondents were young, male, post graduate, belonged to urban area, falling into low category of service, extension as the major job responsibility area and have better possession of smart gadgets (ICTs) at their personal level with internet facility. For effectiveness of ICTs, strategy was planned in an integrated manner covering the important aspects like polices, institutions, stakeholders, human resources development, ICT knowledge centre, ICT infrastructure, content development, blending, identification of ICT experts and innovative leaders, ICTs upgradation, refinement and innovation and monitoring and evaluation.
