Vitamin E for prevention of perinatal intracranial hemorrhage

Several reports have suggested the utility of vitamin E in the prevention of intracranial hemorrhage in newborn infants. This article is commentary on the benefits and risks of vitamin E treatment. Some clinical research on the effects of vitamin E supplementation in neonates is reviewed.
