Английский. A commercial visible-NIR spectrometer (ORIEL) equipped with optical fibers has been used to detect sugars in fruits in the very near infrared range (800 to 1050 nm). It is possible to sort fruits into 3 sugar content classes with a good result with such an apparatus. The interest is that the measurement can be very rapid : from 0.06 s up to 1 second. A problem faced during the development of a fast fruit sorter using fiber optics and CCD technology is the quality and reproducibility of the measurement. Experiments have been conducted in order to determine the best wavelength range, the influence of acquisition time, angle of viewing of optical fibers and reproducibility. It appears that whereas angle of viewing has no influence, acquisition time is highly determinant on the calibration performance. However the apparatus still presents reproducibility problems. The results will be used design and the on-line setting of a new NIR spectrometer using CCD technology. This one is coupled with fiber optics and has a matrix detector , which can enable a multiplexing.

Французский. Un spectromètre commercial ORIEL a été utilisé avec des fibres optiques pour détecter les sucres dans les fruits dans la gamme du très proche infrarouge (800 à 1050 mm). Il est possible de trier les fruits en trois classes avec cet appareil. L'intérêt est sa rapidité = de 0,065 s à 1 s par mètre.Un problème rencontré dans le développement de trieurs de fruits ultrarapide et utilisant la technologie CCD est la reproductivité. Des expériences ont été menées pour déterminer la meilleure gamme de longueurs d'onde, l'influence du temps d'acquisition et de l'angle de vue ainsi pour la reproductivité. L'angle de vue n'a pas d'influence, contrairement au temps d'acquisition.
