The feed ration is enriched with various additives which are intended to improve the quality of the meat, but narrow-leaved lupine has not yet received sufficient attention, although it is a relatively common crop which is expected to have positive effects on increasing unsaturated fatty acids in meat. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of grain of narrow-leaved lupine (Lupinus angustifolius L. var. Kurant) as a replacement for the nitrogen component of feed, ie. urea (BK DM) in the feed ration of galloway bulls and crossbreeds of meat breeds for meat quality. The experiment was performed on 18 beef cattle, which were divided into 2 groups (experimental and control), of which the experimental group consisted of 11 bulls and control 7 bulls. The duration of the experiment was 13 months. The physico-chemical parameters of the meat samples were evaluated - dry matter, protein and fat content, shear forces, weight loss and fatty acid content. There were no differences in dry matter, protein and fat content between the experimental and control groups of bulls. There was a statistically significant difference in elaidic acid content between the galloway bulls from the experimental and control groups.
