The content of the nitrogenous substances in the selected rye genetic resources
2021
Zavrelova, Marta
There were observed selected biological (plant height), agronomic (thousand kernel weight, specific weight) and qualitative (content of nitrogenous substances) parameters in the set of 20 rye genetic resources. The characteristic with the highest variability was the thousand grains weight (Vk = 18,13 %), ranged from 19,77 g to 38,79 g. The content of nitrogenous substances had also high variability (Vk = 13,35 %), ranged from 11,29 % to 19,89 %. The old Czechoslovak variety Breno had the highest average content of nitrogenous substances (18,0 %). Modern varieties, represented in the set by Polish varieties Antoninskie 2006 and Poznanskie, had lower contents of nitrogenous substances (13,4 % and 12,5 %, respectively). The Czech variety of Secale cereale L. var. multicaule METZG. ex ALEF. called Lesan had the content of nitrogenous substances 16,5 %. The negative correlations between the content of nitrogeous substances and thousand kernel weight and between the content of nitrogenous substances and specific weight were found in the studied set of genotypes.
