Propuesta de mejora de procesos para la planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales del municipio de Funza (cundinamarca)

En la actualidad en el municipio de Funza Cundinamarca cuenta con una planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales (PTAR). No obstante, presenta algunos problemas que no permiten su óptimo funcionamiento que ve se reflejado en mayores cargas contaminantes vertidas a al Humedal Gualí, el cual es el cuerpo hídrico receptor del efluente de la PTAR y consigo la salud del ecosistema allí presente. En el presente proyecto se realizó una propuesta de mejora en los procesos de la PTAR, basado en el diagnóstico de esta a través de la recopilación de información (diseño y operación) y de la caracterización fisicoquímica del agua en las diferentes etapas del tren de tratamiento con el fin de identificar los puntos críticos de control. Además, no solo se estudiaron las soluciones a final de tubo, es decir mejoras las estructuras de tratamiento existente o nuevas, sino que se evaluaron procesos previos al sistema de tratamiento como lo es la red de alcantarillado y la calidad de los vertimientos entregados a esta red por parte del sector industrial. A partir del diagnóstico se logró identificar la falta de algunas unidades de tratamiento, el no cumplimiento de las especificaciones técnicas de algunas unidades existentes, la existencia de conexiones erradas entre la red pluvial y la red sanitaria, el incumplimiento de la norma nacional de vertimientos por parte de algunas industrias de la zona de influencia, la falta de articulación entre la norma de vertimientos y los parámetros de diseño de la PTAR, y falencias operacionales que impactan negativamente el proceso de tratamiento. Como medidas de mejora se realizó el rediseño del tanque de bombeo junto con el sistema de cribado grueso, así como el diseño y dimensionamiento de una unidad de desarenado y desengrasado. Finalmente, se formuló un plan de buenas prácticas de operación que conlleven a la mejora en el funcionamiento de las unidades de tratamiento y de este modo al cumplimiento de la normativa vigente, Además, se concluyó que los factores externos que impactan negativamente el proceso de tratamiento de la PTAR, como las conexiones erradas, tramos de red combinados y el incumplimiento de algunas industrias, deben ser abordados en conjunto con las medidas de mejora estructurales para dar una solución definitiva y desmontar la creencia que el impacto del humedal Gualí se debe únicamente al mal funciona de la PTAR.

As improvement measures, the redesign of the pumping tank was carried out together with the coarse screening system, as well as the design and dimensioning of a grit removal and degreasing unit. finally, a plan of good operating practices was formulated that leads to the improvement in the operation of the treatment units and thus to compliance with current regulations. in addition, it was concluded that external factors that negatively impact the treatment process of the WWTP, such as the wrong connections, combined network stretches and the non-compliance of some industries, must be addressed together with the structural improvement measures to give a definitive solution and dismantle the belief that the impact of the Gualí wetland is solely due to malfunction of the WWTP.
