Residuos farmacéuticos, algo mas que solo medicamento | Pharmaceutical waste, something more than just only medicines

Los residuos farmacéuticos son considerados como residuos peligrosos por sus características y componente, estos comúnmente son tratados según la normatividad implementada, pues en el proceso de producción de estos, se debe realizar una adecuada gestión y disposición final de los residuos, pero también encontramos residuos que no son tratados, contaminando nuestros recursos generados diariamente por los usuarios o personas que consumen medicamentos, por eso es importante conocer y empezar a indagar en este aspecto para iniciar un proceso que ayude frente al control de estos residuos. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo conocer e indagar frente a los diferentes residuos que genera la industria farmacéutica, junto con residuos farmacéuticos de los usuarios o consumidores, abarcando, tipos de contaminantes, donde se presentan, tipos de tratamientos, normatividad y proyectos que se rigen a nivel nacional en Colombia, junto con resultados de una encuesta realizada a personas que no tienen como profesión Ingeniería Ambiental o conocimientos bases frente a la disposición de residuos, donde la pregunta 4 y 6 se consideran las más relevantes pues muestran la gestión de las personas frente a todos los residuos, dando a conocer que gran parte de los encuestados conocen sobre los colores de clasificación de los residuos, pero aún no disponen de la mejor manera los desechos farmacológicos.

Pharmaceutical waste is considered as hazardous waste for its characteristics and components, these are commonly treated according to the regulations implemented, because in the production process of these, proper management and final disposal of waste must be carried out, but we also find waste that is not treated, polluting our resources generated daily by users or people who consume medicines, That is why it is important to know and start looking into this aspect to start a process that helps control this waste. This paper have to aims to know and investigate the different waste generated by the pharmaceutical industry, along with pharmaceutical waste users or consumers, covering, types of pollutants, where they are presented, types of treatments, regulations and projects that are governed at the national level in Colombia, together with the results of a survey carried out on people who do not have as a profession Environmental Engineering or basic knowledge regarding the disposal of waste, where question 4 and 6 are considered the most relevant as they show people’s management of all waste, making it known that a large number of respondents know about the colours of waste classification, but pharmacological waste is still not available in the best way
