Susceptibilidad de cepas de Botrytis cinerea aisladas de uva frente a fungicidas químicos de síntesis

Botrytis cinerea es el hongo causante de la “podredumbre gris”, que es una de las enfermedades más destructivas en uva de mesa y uva para vinificación. En uva de mesa afecta principalmente la calidad del fruto en la etapa de poscosecha, y en uva para vinificación afecta la calidad organoléptica de los vinos, lo cual representa importantes pérdidas económicas para los productores. El control de esta enfermedad se realiza, principalmente, mediante la aplicación de fungicidas químicos de síntesis durante el cultivo, sin embargo, el uso indiscriminado de estos productos ha ocasionado que el hongo desarrolle resistencia a estos compuestos. Por lo que, el objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la susceptibilidad de cepas de B. cinerea a fungicidas químicos de síntesis en uva de mesa y uva para vinificación provenientes del estado de Sonora y Querétaro, respectivamente. Al respecto, aislados de B. cinerea de uva de mesa y de vino fueron identificados a nivel de especie y genotipo (Transposa o Vacuma). Además, se evaluó el grado de virulencia y la susceptibilidad de todos los aislados a seis fungicidas. Los resultados mostraron que de 162 aislados recuperados, 130 fueron identificados como B. cinerea, de los cuales 12 correspondieron al género Transposa, 84 a Vacuma, y 34 presentaron el transposon Boty. Además, no se encontró correlación del genotipo con respecto al fenotipo y la virulencia de los aislados. Finalmente, los aislados de B. cinerea presentaron una susceptibilidad del 63.4 % y 12.3 % ante Benomilo, 12.2 % y 7.9 % a Captan, 58.5 % y 58.4 % a Cyprodinil + Fludioxonil, 24.3 % y 29.2 % a Oxicloruro de Cobre, 58.5 % y 11.2 % a Pyraclostrobin + Boscalid y 85.3 % y 87.6 % a Iprodiona, para uva de vinificación cuyos aislados proceden de la zona vinícola del estado de Querétaro y uva de mesa procedentes del estado de Sonora, respectivamente. Por esta razón, resulta de vital importancia ampliar el conocimiento sobre las aplicaciones, el tipo de productos a utilizar, buenas prácticas culturales y un escrutinio microbiológico para el control de esta enfermedad. Pues como se pudo constatar en este estudio, existen elevados niveles de resistencia por parte de este hongo fitopatógeno ante los fungicidas químicos actualmente utilizados en estas dos zonas productoras de uva.

Botrytis cinerea is the fungus that causes "gray mold", which is one of the most destructive diseases in table grapes and grapevines. In table grape, the quality of the fruit is mainly used in the postharvest stage, and in grapevines affects the organoleptic quality of the wines. The control of this disease is mainly done through the application of synthetic chemical fungicides the crop, however, the indiscriminate use of these products has leaded to the fungus resistance develop to these compounds. Therefore, the objective of this work was to evaluate the susceptibility of strains of B. cinerea and synthetic chemical fungicides in table grapes and grapes for winemaking from the state of Sonora and Querétaro, respectively. In this regard, the isolates of B. cinerea from table and grapevine were identified at the species and genotype level (Transposa or Vacuma). In addition, the extent of virulence and susceptibility of all isolates against six fungicides was evaluated. The results showed that of 162 recovered isolates, 130 were identified as B. cinerea, of which 12 corresponded to the Transposa genus, 84 to Vacuma, and 34 presented the Boty transposon. In addition, no genotype correlation was found with respect to the phenotype and virulence of the isolates. Finally, isolates of B. cinerea presented a 63.4 % and 12.3 % susceptibility to Benomilo, 12.2 % and 7.9 % to Captan, 58.5 % and 58.4 % to Cyprodinil + Fludioxonil, 24.3 % and 29.2 % to Copper Oxychloride, 58.5 % and 11.2 % to Pyraclostrobin + Boscalid and 85.3 % and 87.6 % to Iprodiona, for the grapevine from the winemaking procedures of the state of Querétaro and the grape from the Sonora state table, respectively. For this reason, it is of vital importance to expand the knowledge about the applications, the type of products to use, good cultural practices and a microbiological scrutiny for the control of this disease. As it could be confirmed in this study, there are high levels of resistance from this phytopathogenic fungus to the fungicides that are used in these two grape producing areas.
