The Food Technology Institute (ITA) aims to generate knowledge, develop and transfer innovative technologies, train and perfect human talents and provide strategic services in response to the needs and opportunities of the Agricultural, Agri-Food System, Agroindustrial and Bioindustrial (SAAAB) Argentine and future trends. All this contemplating aspects related to safety, nutrition, properties physical and sensory, emerging technologies (nano, bio, ICTs, omics, new processing technologies) and waste utilization technologies, waste and byproducts This report reports the activities corresponding to Research and Development, Transfer and Extension, Technological Linkage, Institutional Relations and Institutional Management and Dissemination and Communication corresponding to the ITA in the year 2022. In the reported period, the quantity and quality of the publications is assessed. National and international and presentations at national and international conferences international. At the same time, the number of Postgraduate Theses was relevant. defended and in development during the year 2022. The coordination and participation of ITA agents in institutional projects and extra-institutional ones in force in 2022 and the external ones approved during that year. In relation to these, an Applied PICT Project II Institutional Leap stands out. and a project financed by the IPCVA. In turn, during 2022, different projects, some approved this year (1 PICT and 1 PIP CONICET) and 2 PITES projects and 3 FONARSEC Projects still under evaluation. Also important is the approval in mid-2022, by CONICET, of the Executing Unit Project Idea (PUE) corresponding to the “Institute of Science and Technology of Sustainable Agri-Food Systems (ICyTeSAS)” and the presentation of the PUE project in November 2022 (still in assessment). In relation to human talents, the incorporation in 2022 of 2 stands out agents from the Professional Group, 2 agents from the Support and Technical Group and 1 intern co-financed by INTA-CONICET. In addition, the participation of agents is emphasized of the ITA in the training of human talents, as well as in Report of the Food Technology Institute - 2022 extension, scientific-technological advice, undergraduate university teaching and postgraduate and performance as peer evaluators of research projects and development, publications, Postgraduate and Degree Theses, awards, etc. Finally, the incorporation of low and medium-sized equipment and of institutional vehicles, and the possibility of making building improvements and facilities through reinforcement of institutional funds.

El Instituto Tecnología de Alimentos (ITA) tiene por finalidad generar conocimientos, desarrollar y transferir tecnologías innovativas, formar y perfeccionar talentos humanos y prestar servicios estratégicos en respuesta a las necesidades y oportunidades del Sistema Agropecuario, Agroalimentario, Agroindustrial y Bioindustrial (SAAAB) Argentino y las tendencias a futuro. Todo ello contemplando aspectos relacionados con la inocuidad, nutrición, propiedades físicas y sensoriales, tecnologías emergentes (nano, bio, TICs, ómicas, nuevas tecnologías de procesamiento) y tecnologías de aprovechamiento de descartes, residuos y subproductos. En la presente memoria se informan las actividades correspondientes a Investigación y Desarrollo, Transferencia y Extensión, Vinculación Tecnológica, Relacionamiento Institucional y Gestión Institucional y Difusión y Comunicación correspondientes al ITA en el año 2022. En el período informado se valora la cantidad y calidad de las publicaciones nacionales e internacionales y presentaciones a congresos nacionales e internacionales. A su vez, fue relevante la cantidad de Tesis de Postgrado defendidas y en desarrollo durante el año 2022. También se subraya la coordinación y participación de agentes del ITA en proyectos institucionales y extrainstitucionales vigentes en 2022 y en los externos aprobados durante ese año. En relación con estos se destacan un Proyecto PICT Aplicado II Salto Institucional y un proyecto financiado por el IPCVA. A su vez, durante 2022 se presentaron diferentes proyectos, algunos aprobados en el presente año (1 PICT y 1 PIP CONICET) y 2 proyectos PITES y 3 Proyectos FONARSEC aún en evaluación. También resulta mportante la aprobación a mediados de 2022, por parte de CONICET, de la Idea Proyecto de Unidad Ejecutora (PUE) correspondiente al “Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología de Sistemas Agroalimentarios Sustentables (ICyTeSAS)” y la presentación del proyecto PUE en noviembre de 2022 (aún en evaluación). En relación con los talentos humanos, se destaca la incorporación en el 2022 de 2 agentes del Grupo Profesional, 2 agentes del Grupo Apoyo y Técnico y 1 becaria cofinanciada INTA-CONICET. Además, se enfatiza la participación de los agentes del ITA en la formación de talentos humanos, como también en actividades de Memoria del Instituto Tecnología de Alimentos ‐ 2022 extensión, asesoramiento científico-tecnológico, docencia universitaria de grado y postgrado y desempeño como pares evaluadores de proyectos de investigación y desarrollo, publicaciones, Tesis de Postgrado y Grado, premios, etc. Finalmente se resalta la incorporación de equipamiento de bajo y mediano porte y de vehículos institucionales, y la posibilidad de realizar mejoras edilicias y de las instalaciones a través de refuerzos de fondos institucionales.
