Los Programas de Uso Eficiente y Ahorro de Agua definidos en la Ley 373 de 1997, como medida necesaria para disminuir la alta demanda de agua en la población Colombiana, incorporó diferentes estrategias que deben aplicarse en industrias, empresas, viviendas, y en general a todos los usuarios. A nivel industrial el programa de Uso Eficiente y Ahorro de Agua hace parte de las actividades necesarias para alcanzar una adecuada gestión ambiental, por ello el presente estudio se basa en determinar el estado actual del programa en la Planta de Combustibles Biomax Pereira, revisando procedimientos, tecnologías, oferta, demanda y consumo de agua. La metodología se basa en la auditoría de sistemas de gestión ambiental como herramienta que permite determinar y analizar el estado actual del programa.

It in corporated different strategies that must apply in the industries, business, housing and in general to every users. To industrial level the program of efficient use and water saving are integrated in the necessary activities for to get at the environmental appropiate management. Where by this investigation is based to establish Fuel Plant Biomax from Pereira, checking over procedures, technologies, offer, demand and water consumption. The methodology is based in the systems audit of environmental management, like tools that permit to determine and to analize the actual condiction of the program.
