Transformaciones socioambientales y expansión urbana en la vereda aguazul - Dosquebradas, en el periodo 2014-2024

En esta investigación se evaluaron las transformaciones socioambientales y la expansión urbana en la vereda Aguazul mediante un análisis multitemporal durante los últimos diez años. En este periodo, el uso del suelo en Aguazul ha cambiado significativamente, pasando de ser predominantemente agrícola a estar más influenciado por la urbanización y la expansión de nuevas áreas residenciales y recreativas. Sin las medidas adecuadas para mitigar los impactos de actividades como la construcción descontrolada y la deforestación, estos cambios han llevado a la degradación del suelo y a la contaminación de fuentes hídricas vitales para la comunidad. La expansión urbana ha contribuido a la pérdida de hábitats naturales y a la fragmentación del paisaje, afectando negativamente la biodiversidad y la sostenibilidad de los ecosistemas locales. Lo anterior permite concluir que las transformaciones socioambientales presentadas en Aguazul durante los últimos años se deben principalmente al crecimiento del municipio, considerando que este ha sido proyectado hacia las periferias del municipio en este caso Dosquebradas. A raíz de esta situación se han perdido y modificado zonas productivas, la desarticulación de intereses de la comunidad y el cambio en las dinámicas culturales tanto de la vereda como de sus habitantes.

In this research, socio-environmental transformations, and urban expansion in the Aguazul village were evaluated through a multitemporal analysis over the past ten years. During this period, land use in Aguazul has changed significantly, shifting from predominantly agricultural to being more influenced by urbanization and the expansion of new residential and recreational areas. Without adequate measures to mitigate the impacts of activities such as uncontrolled construction and deforestation, these changes have led to soil degradation and contamination of water sources vital to the community. Urban expansion has contributed to the loss of natural habitats and landscape fragmentation, negatively affecting biodiversity and the sustainability of local ecosystems. It can be concluded that the socio-environmental transformations observed in Aguazul in recent years are mainly due to the growth of the municipality, considering that this has been projected towards the outskirts of the municipality, in this case, Dosquebradas. As a result of this situation, productive areas have been lost and modified, community interests have become disjointed, and the cultural dynamics of both the village and its inhabitants have changed.
