El proyecto consiste en el desarrollo de un prototipo modular sumergible encargado del sistema de navegación. Capaz de operar bajo el agua y navegar en seis grados de libertad. El prototipo estará dividido en dos módulos, uno sumergible y otro encargado del control remoto del prototipo, que se encontrará en la superficie de la tierra. El módulo sumergible contará con un sistema de medición de la profundidad del agua en tiempo real y además de ello, poseerá un algoritmo de control para lograr sumergir y emerger, de acuerdo con las instrucciones enviadas por el usuario, desde el mando de control. Además, la estructura física tendrá adaptada motores acuáticos, los cuales contribuirán en la generación de los movimientos del prototipo. También, llevará incluida sus propias baterías y la electrónica estará embebida dentro del módulo, lo que lo convierte en un módulo independiente. De igual manera se desarrolló un módulo de control inalámbrico, el cual permitirá que el usuario pueda dirigir el módulo sumergible, de una manera cómoda, además podrá visualizar las instrucciones que le envía al robot, en una pantalla. Como parte esencial del proyecto, se realizaron pruebas a cada uno de los componentes y además de ello se realizaron pruebas en campo, para cada uno de los módulos (sumergible y control remoto) en donde se evidencio que se cumplen con los requerimientos expresados.

The project consists in the development of a submersible modular prototype in charge of the navigation system. Able to operate underwater and navigate in six degrees of freedom. The prototype will be divided into two modules, one submersible and the other in charge of the remote control of the prototype, which will be found on the surface of the earth. The submersible module will have a real-time water depth measurement system and in addition to this, it will have a control algorithm to submerge and emerge, according to the instructions sent by the user, from the control knob. In addition, the physical structure will have adapted aquatic engines, which will contribute to the generation of prototype movements. Also, it will include its own batteries and the electronics will be embedded inside the module, which makes it an independent module. In the same way, a wireless control module was developed, which will allow the user to direct the submersible module, in a comfortable way, in addition to viewing the instructions sent to the robot, on a screen. As an essential part of the project, tests were carried out on each of the components and in addition to this, field tests were carried out for each of the modules (submersible and remote control) where it was evidenced that the expressed requirements are met.
