Показать больше [+] Меньше [-]A total of 206 stomachs of Chimaera mOils/rosa were collected in the western Mediterranean from November 1976 to October 1978. The stomach contents consisted almost entirely of ophiuroids, benthic crustaceans, and polychaetes. The proportions of Brachiura and Macrura Reptantia increased with body length. The major prey organisms may be categorized as benthic organisms. No seasonal variations were found in the diet. The increasing number of large prey in the stomachs of the larger fish probably reflects a more effective suction by C. mOils/rosa
