A planta e a forma de nitrogênio na solubilização de fosfato natural | The plant and nitrogen form in the solubilization of rock phosphate

Na maioria dos solos brasileiros, a adsorção específica de P em óxidos e a precipitação como diferentes formas de fosfatos de Fe e Al dificultam a absorção e utilização de fosfato pelas plantas. Nessas condições, a utilização de espécies vegetais com sistema radicular desenvolvido e a combinação de fertilizantes podem favorecer a recuperação do P adicionado. Para avaliar a influência da planta e a combinação de fertilizantes na solubilização de fosfatos naturais e disponibilidade de P, plantas pré-germinadas de milheto (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) Leeke) foram cultivadas em câmara com luz e temperatura controlada. As plantas cresceram em rizotubos, estrutura cilíndrica oca que favorece uma maior densidade de raiz. Foram aplicadas fontes de P combinadas com fontes de N em amostras de um Latossolo Vermelho-Amarelo com baixa (Pbaixo) e média (Pmédio) disponibilidade inicial de P. As fontes de P utilizadas foram os fosfatos naturais (FNs) de Bayóvar e de Araxá e o superfosfato triplo (ST), e as de N, (NH4)2SO4 e Mg(NO3)2.6H2O. Rizotubos sem a planta foram mantidos como controle. Após 46 d de cultivo, as plantas foram coletadas e separadas em parte aérea e raiz, para determinação da massa de matéria seca e do conteúdo de P, Ca, Mg e N. O solo foi seco e peneirado para a análise de P- resina, Ca2+, Mg2+, NO3-, NH4+ e pH. Os resultados indicaram maior nitrificação em Pmédio (na ausência de planta). A presença da planta favoreceu a solubilização dos FNs. Observou-se que a resposta à adubação fosfatada combinada com N depende dos teores iniciais de P no solo. De maneira geral, o fornecimento de N-NH4+ proporcionou maior produção de matéria seca em Pbaixo, maior conteúdo de P e aumento da recuperação pela planta do FN Araxá em Pbaixo e do FN Bayóvar em Pmédio. Na presença de planta, houve aumento da eficiência agronômica dos FNs em relação ao ST quando o solo apresentava média disponibilidade de P.

In most Brazilian soils, the specific adsorption of P to oxides and precipitation in different Fe and Al phosphate forms hamper the phosphate uptake and use by plants. Under these conditions, using plant species with a well-developed root system and fertilizer combinations can promote the recovery of P applications. To assess the influence of a plant species and fertilizer combinations on the solubilization of phosphate rocks (PR) and P availability, pre-germinated plants of pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) Leeke) were grown under controlled light and temperature conditions. To favor a higher root density, the plants were grown in hollow cylindrical rooting tubes. Combined P and N sources were applied to samples of a Latossolo Vermelho Amarelo (Oxisol) with low (Plow) and medium (Pmed) initial P availability. The P sources consisted of Bayóvar and Araxá PRs and triple superphosphate (TS), and of N, (NH4)2SO4 and Mg(NO3)2.6H2O. Rooting tubes without plants were maintained as controls. After 46 d of cultivation, the plants were cut and separated into aerial and root parts to determine dry matter and P, Ca, Mg, and N concentrations. The soil was dried and sieved to analyze P-resin, Ca2+, Mg2+, NO3-, NH4+ and pH. The results indicated higher nitrification in Pmed (without plant). The presence of plants favored the solubilization of PR. It was observed that the response to P + N fertilization was related to the initial soil P content. In general, the supply of N-NH4+ induced a higher dry matter production in Plow, and increased the P concentration and plant P recovery from Araxá PR in Plow and from Bayóvar PR in Pmed. The presence of plants increased the agricultural efficiency of PR over TS in soil with medium P availability.
