Parâmetros genéticos e seleção indireta em progênies F6 de um cruzamento de soja (Glycine Max. (l.) Merrill)

Progênies Fé de soja, oriundas de seleções entre e dentro de famílias F5 do cruzamento 'FT-Cometa' x 'IAC-8', foram estudadas em Viçosa, MG, para observar a eficácia da seleção indireta via número de nós e altura da planta na maturação, no aumento da produção de grãos, bem como estimar as herdabilidades e as correlações entre 10 caracteres agronômicos. A seleção indireta para maior altura e número de nós na maturação, apesar de resultar em progênies com tais características (P<0,01), não foi eficiente para alterar os demais caracteres avaliados, exceto altura da planta na maturação. As correlações genotípicas apresentaram valores superiores às respectivas correlações fenotípicas, indicando a interferência do ambiente como fator perturbador na seleção indireta. O carácter produção de grãos apresentou correlação genotípica positiva com todos os demais caracteres avaliados. Entretanto, essas correlações indicam a dificuldade em se selecionar plantas precoces e produtivas. Os componentes secundários da produção apresentaram herdabilidades, no sentido amplo e no nível de progênies, sempre superiores às obtidas para os componentes primários. A seleção indireta para produção de grãos, via componentes secundários, além de mais fácil mensuração, pode apresentar melhores resultados.

F6 progenies of soybean, originating from inter and intra selection from F5 families of the cross 'FT-Cometa' x 'IAC-8', were investigated in Viçosa, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, to observe the efficiency of indirect selection through the number of knots and height of the mature plant on the increase in grain production, as well as to estimate the inheritance capabilities and the correlations between ten agronomical characters. The indirect selection for greater height and number of knots at the maturity stage, although resulting in progenies with such characteristics (P<0.01), was not effective in changing the other characters evaluated, except for height at the maturation stage. The genotype correlations presented higher values than the respective phenotype correlations, indicating environmental interference as a disturbing factor in the indirect selection. The character grain production presented positive genotype correlation with the remaining characters under evaluation. However, these correlations indicate that there is difficulty in selecting precocious and productive plants. The secundary components of production, presented inheritabilities, in the broad sense and in the level of progenies, always superior to the ones obtained for the secundary components. The indirect selection for the production of grains, through secundary components, besides being easier to measure , can produce better results.
