Diversidade genética e identificação de genótipos promissores quanto às características físicas e de teor de óleo do fruto de macaúba provenientes do estado de Minas Gerais | Genetic diversity and identification of promising genotypes regarding physical characteristics and oil content of the macaw palm fruit from the state of Minas Gerais

A macaúba, Acrocomia aculeata, é uma palmeira arbórea oleaginosa nativa da América tropical que vem despertando interesse econômico por seu alto rendimento produtivo. Contudo, para atender sua potencialidade agrícola sua domesticação deve ser efetivada, o que permitiria a criação de cultivares que apresentem uniformidade e qualidade na produção de óleo de polpa / amêndoa. Nesse sentido, este trabalho teve por objetivo a caracterização dos frutos de matrizes de macaúba que originaram os acessos estabelecidos no BAG da empresa Acrotech S.A., a fim de colaborar com: (i) o estabelecimento do programa de melhoramento de macaúba e (ii) selecionar os genótipos que reúnam características que atendam às demandas do mercado e dos agricultores, permitindo o estabelecimento da cultura em escala comercial. Foi estudada a diversidade, com o intuito de conhecer a variabilidade genética existente e obter parâmetros necessários para a escolha de genótipos superiores. Foram estudadas 12 características relacionadas com os frutos provenientes de 170 genótipos. Foram estimadas as expectativas de ganho por seleção direta e indireta nos caracteres avaliados, visando à seleção dos genótipos superiores. Os parâmetros genéticos como herdabilidade (h 2 ) e correlação (r) foram estimados como forma para a garantia do aumento de ganho com a seleção das características alvo. Foi possível realizar a identificação dos genótipos superiores, provenientes da região de Minas Gerais, o que contribuirá para a obtenção de cultivares elites. Palavras-chave: Macaúba. Macaúba, Acrocomia aculeata, is an oily palm tree native to tropical America that has aroused economic interest due to its high productive yield. However, to meet its agricultural potential, domestication must be carried out, which would allow the creation of cultivars that present uniformity and quality in the production of pulp / kernel oils. In this sense, this work aimed to characterize the fruits of macauba matrices that originated the accesses established in the BAG of the company Acrotech SA, in order to collaborate with: (i) the establishment of the macauba breeding program and (ii) select genotypes that bring characteristics that meet the demands of the market and farmers, enabling the establishment of culture on a commercial scale. Diversity was studied, in order to know the existing genetic variability and obtain necessary parameters for choosing superior genotypes. Twelve characteristics related to fruits from 170 genotypes were studied. The expectations of gain by direct and indirect selection in the evaluated characters were estimated, aiming at the selection of superior genotypes. The genetic parameters such as heritability (h2) and correlation (r) were estimated as a way to guarantee the increase in gain with the selection of the target characteristics. It was possible to identify the superior genotypes, from the region of Minas Gerais, which will contribute to the obtaining superior cultivars. Keywords: Macaw palm. Genetic diversity.
