Английский. The Apis mellifera L. presents defensive behavior, in order to protect the colony against intruders, which can make management difficult. The objective was to evaluate the defensive behavior of Apis mellifera Africanized under different times and climatic conditions in the winter of southern Brazil. Ten standard Langstroth colonies were used, the defensiveness test was performed in two treatments: sunny day and cloudy day. The time required for the 1st sting and the number of stings in the chamois, the number of bees that attacked and were trapped in the fabric, and the distance of pursuit to the observer were evaluated. Objetivou-se avaliar o comportamento defensivo de Apis mellifera africanizadas sob diferentes horários e condições climáticas no inverno do Sul do Brasil. Foram utilizadas dez colônias padrão Langstroth, o teste de defensividade foi realizado em dois tratamentos: dia ensolarado e dia nublado.
