Application of the dimensional analysis method to determine the functional relationship between parameters that affect the self-purification of polluted river water. Water is the only chemical compound that ensures the existence of a living universe. Since pollution of rivers, lakes and other water sources is directly related to human health, it is a natural self-cleaning process that attracts the attention of chemists, physicists, biologists, doctors and geographers. The article provides information on the structure of functional relationships between the main parameters that affect the natural process of self-cleaning in rivers using the method of measurement analysis. The measurement method was used to correctly plan the experiments and reduce the time spent processing the results. As a result of the logical distribution of the first 11 variables, seven measurements were obtained, which reduced the number of experiments
