Influencia del régimen térmico en el desarrollo foliar del pimiento (Capsicum annuum L.) cultivado en campo

The knowledge of the effects of the temperature in the dynamics of the development of cultivation, allows defining handling strategies able to optimize the productivity. The purpose of this investigation was to study the influence of the thermal regime in the dynamics of the development to foliate of pepper cultivated in field, considering the period from the seedtime until the beginning of the fructification. The study was carried out among the years 2003 and 2004, in CEAL of INTA, located in Tucumán, Argentina. One worked with the variety Fyuco, in a completely randomized design, considering as treatments, five successive dates of sidebar. The typical handling was applied from the area to commercial level. They registered the maximum and minimum temperatures daily. To analyze the incidence of the temperature, it was divided to the cycle of the cultivation in four periods. For every period and in each sidebar date, the thermal (TT) accumulated time was calculated, considering a temperature bases (Tb) of 10 °C. The thermal regime evidenced direct, highly significant associations, with the dynamics of the number of green leaves expanded by plant and a relationship, although inverse, with the duration of the different phenological periods. The employment of TT eliminated great part of the variability in the development to foliate that it registered when considering the chronological time, and in turn, it allowed to estimate that for the appearance of the first five green expanded leaves, approach phenological important criterion to establish the moment of the trasplant, a TT of 958 ± 96 °C day is required. For the appearance of each new leaf it was necessary about 9 °C day. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------El conocimiento de los efectos de la temperatura en la dinámica del desarrollo de un cultivo permite definir estrategias de manejo capaces de optimizar la productividad. El propósito de esta investigación fue estudiar la influencia del régimen térmico en la dinámica del desarrollo foliar de pimiento cultivado en campo, considerando el período desde la siembra hasta el inicio de la fructificación. El estudio se realizó entre los años 2003 y 2004, en el CEAL del INTA, ubicado en Tucumán, Argentina. Se trabajó con la variedad Fyuco, en un diseño totalmente aleatorizado, considerando como tratamientos, cinco fechas sucesivasde siembra. Se aplicó el manejo típico de la zona a nivel comercial. Se registraron diariamente las temperaturas máximas y mínimas. Para analizar la incidencia de la temperatura, se dividió al ciclo del cultivo en cuatro períodos. Para cada período y en cada fecha de siembra, se calculó el tiempo térmico (TT) acumulado, considerando una temperatura base (Tb) de 10 °C. El régimen térmico evidenció asociaciones directas, altamente significativas, con la dinámica del número de hojas verdes expandidas por planta y una relación, aunque inversa, con la duración de los distintos períodos fenológicos. El empleo del TT eliminó gran parte de la variabilidad en el desarrollo foliar que se registró al considerar el tiempo cronológico, y a su vez, permitió estimar que para la aparición de las primeras cinco hojas verdes expandidas, criterio fenológico importante para establecer el momento del trasplante, se requiere un TT de 958 ± 96 °C día. Para la aparición de cada nueva hoja fue necesario unos 9 °C día.
