Influence of long-term injection of CdCl2 on the activity of leucopoiesis processes in rats
2012
L. P. Biletska
It was shown that long-term (7 and 21 day) administration of CdCl2 (3 mg/kg) increases the number of white blood cells in rats appropriately for 57.3% and 38.5%, these changes we are mediated by 54.7% increase of the content of polymorphonuclear granulocytes. Analysis of the dynamics of cells of leukopoiesis system under the influence of CdCl2 indicates that decreased monocytes content results in a decrease of number of agranulocytes in rats’ blood. Thus, in animals, exposed to long-term influence of CdCl2,the stage of antigen presentation might occur less effective due to a diminished number of macrophages. Such effect, together with a decrease of leukocytes content, could impair the immune defense in treated animals.
