Alternativas na formulação de dietas vegetarianas para frangos de corte | Formulation alternatives of vegetarian diets for broiler chickens

Atualmente, países da Europa e Oriente Médio vêm exigindo que frangos de corte exportados para seus mercados não tenham sido alimentados com dietas contendo produtos de origem animal. Dietas vegetarianas vêm sendo formuladas com altos níveis de soja, o que leva a um aumento da viscosidade da excreta de aves. Um experimento foi delineado em oito tratamentos: quatro fórmulas variando a inclusão de alguns ingredientes, e otimizando ou não o equilíbrio eletrolítico da dieta (DEB) para 250 mEq/kg. Os tratamentos foram: milho e soja, milho e soja com complexo enzimático contendo beta glucanase e pectinase, dieta com inclusão de farinha de vísceras de aves e com inclusão de farelo de glúten de milho.As dietas não tiveram a adição de promotor de crescimento. A alimentação foi ad libitum até os 40 dias de idade em baias contendo bebedouro pendular. Ao final do estudo, as aves que receberam a dieta contendo glúten tiveram uma significativa redução de peso, assim como a conversão alimentar piorou. A correção do equilíbrio eletrolítico da dieta não afetou a resposta de desempenho. Os escores de lesões de pododermatite foram mensurados semanalmente a partir dos 21 dias, em aves marcadas. As lesões foram nitidamente intensificadas até o fim do experimento, e as aves alimentadas com dieta contendo farelo de glúten tiveram significativa redução de lesões na comparação das dietas. A umidade da cama e o escore de lesões de pododermatite demonstraram ser parâmetros intimamente relacionados, assim como a inclusão de soja nas dietas.

Europe and Saudi Arabia require that broilers grown for their market are not feed animal products. The so called vegetarian feed are largely formulated with an increased inclusion of soybean meal, which usually leads to increased excreta viscosity. An experiment was designed with 8 treatments: four ingredient formulation varying in ingredients inclusion and optimisating or not the dietary electrolyte balance (DEB) to 250 mEq/kg of feed. Feed treatments were: corn and soybean meal, corn and soybean meal plus a commercial pectinase + beta glucanase, inclusion of poultry by product, inclusion of corn gluten meal. Feed did not have any growth promotant. Birds were fed ad libitum to 40 days of age in floor pens having bell drinkers. At the end of study birds receiving the feed with corn gluten meal had a significantly reduced body weight, but feed conversion was not affected by any treatment. Optimisation of DEB did not affect any live performance response. Birds showing feet dermatitis at 21 days were tagged and lesions scores for feet dermatitis were weekly performed afterwards. These lesions were clearly intensified through the end of the study with birds fed diets with corn gluten meal demonstrating a significant reduction. Increased diet DEB lead to higher lesions scores at 21 days of age with no difference between the treatments afterwards. Lesions scores are positively correlated with moisture litter.
