Componentes fibrosos na dieta de leitões na fase inicial | Fibrous components in the diet of piglets in the early stage

Objetivou-se, com essa tese, fazer um levantamento de dados na literatura por meio de uma revisão sistemática a respeito do desempenho de crescimento em leitões desmamados alimentados com dietas fibrosas, e posteriormente, avaliar fatores nutricionais que possam interferir no consumo voluntário de leitões após o desmame. No capítulo I foi apresentado o referencial teórico que serviu como base para a construção do estudo. No capítulo II foi apresentado a revisão sistemática sobre o desempenho de leitões desmamados alimentados com dietas fibrosas. Foi realizada uma busca em quatro bases de dados eletrônicas, totalizando 1156 referências, após remoção das duplicatas 985 foram revisados para elegibilidade. Por fim, 72 estudos foram incluídos na base de dados. O teste de correlação entre a fibra bruta (FB) x ganho médio diário (GMD) e FB x consumo médio diário de ração (CMDR) não foram significativos (P>0,05), já a correlação entre FB x eficiência alimentar (EA) foi significativa (P<0,05), porém o valor do coeficiente de correlação de Pearson (r) foi baixo (-0.21). A correlação entre FB x presença de diarreia foi significativa (P<0,05), apresentando correlação negativa moderada (r = -0,50). Não foi observado correlação significativa entre fibra solúvel x GMD e fibra solúvel x CMDR (P>0,05), no entanto notou-se uma correlação significativa entre fibra solúvel x EA (P<0,05). Observou-se correlações significativas (P < 0,05) fortes entre fibra insolúvel x GMD e fibra insolúvel x CMDR (r = 0,81 e r = 0,80 respectivamente), também foi observado correlação positiva moderada (r = 0,52) entre fibra insolúvel x EA. No capítulo III foram utilizados 32 leitões machos não castrados, desmamados aos 28 dias de idade, distribuídos em um delineamento de blocos ao acaso em esquema fatorial 2 × 4, sendo dois teores de fibra (baixo e alto teor de fibra) e quatro dietas (1: controle; 2: fibra solúvel; 3: fibra insolúvel e 4: controle + propionato de cálcio). O coeficiente de digestibilidade aparente total (CDAT) e os ácidos graxos de cadeia curta (AGCC) foram avaliados, assim como o GMD dos animais. A dieta fibra insolúvel (FIN) reduziu o CDAT dos componentes das dietas e verificou-se efeito isolado (P<0,05) das dietas no ganho médio diário (GMD) do período total, as dietas controle e controle com adição de propionato foram melhores que a dieta FIN. Para o hemograma, a dieta fibra solúvel (FSL) aumentou (P<0,05) a quantidade de linfócitos e plaquetas. A concentração de AGCC fecal foi influenciada pelo teor de fibra das dietas, sendo que a dieta FSL aumentou (P<0,05) a quantidade de ácido isobutírico e isovalérico. De forma geral, a inclusão de fibra pode ser benéfica na dieta de leitões desmamados, porém as pesquisas ainda precisam ser mais aprofundadas para melhor entendimento dos seus benefícios, principalmente a respeito das frações individuais da fibra.

The main of this thesis was to survey data in the literature through a systematic review regarding the growth performance of weaned piglets fed fibrous diets. And also subsequently, to evaluate nutritional factors that may interfere with the voluntary consumption of piglets after weaning. In chapter I, the theoretical framework was presented and served as the basis for the construction of this study. Chapter II presented a systematic review on the performance of weaned piglets fed fiber diets. A search was performed in four electronic databases, totaling 1156 references, after removal of duplicates 985 were reviewed for eligibility. Finally, 72 studies were included in the database. The correlation test between crude fiber (CF) x average daily gain (ADG) and CF x average daily feed intake (ADFI) were not significant (P>0.05), since the correlation between CF x feed efficiency (FE) was significant (P<0.05), but the value of Pearson's correlation coefficient (r) was low (-0.21). The correlation between CF x diarrhea presence was significant (P<0.05), with a moderate negative correlation (r = -0.50). No significant correlation was observed between soluble fiber x ADG and soluble fiber x ADFI (P>0.05), however a significant correlation was noted between soluble fiber x FE (P<0.05). Significant (P < 0.05) strong correlations were observed between insoluble fiber x ADG and insoluble fiber x ADFI (r = 0.81 and r = 0.80 respectively), a moderate positive correlation was also observed (r = 0.52) between insoluble fiber x EA. In chapter III, 32 uncastrated male piglets, weaned at 28 days of age, were distributed in a randomized block design in a 2 × 4 factorial scheme, with two fiber levels (low and high fiber content) and four diets (1: control; 2: soluble fiber; 3: insoluble fiber and 4: control + calcium propionate). The total apparent digestibility coefficient (TADC) and short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) were measured, also the ADG of the animals. The insoluble fiber diet (IFD) reduced the TADC of the diet components and there was an isolated effect (P<0.05) of the diets on the ADG of the total period. The control diet and control with addition of propionate were better than the IFD diet. For the hemogram, the soluble fiber diet (SFD) increased (P<0.05) the amount of lymphocytes and platelets. The concentration of SCFA was influenced by the fiber content of the diets, and the FSD increased (P<0.05) the amount of isobutyric and isovaleric acid. In general, the inclusion of fiber can be beneficial in the diet of weaned piglets, but research still needs to be further developed to better understand its benefits, especially regarding the individual fiber fractions.
