Tratamentos profiláticos em ovos embrionados de Colossoma macropomum : ação de diferentes agentes e concentrações sobre a taxa de eclosão

O tratamento profilático de ovos embrionados busca a redução da carga patogênica da superfície dos ovos, sem causar danos. Uma das formas de assegurar que o tratamento aplicado não compromete a qualidade dos ovos é por meio da taxa de eclosão. Porém, os agentes profiláticos e as concentrações a serem aplicadas na reprodução de espécies nativas ainda não são bem definidos. Este trabalho teve como objetivo estudar e avaliar a influência dos principais agentes profiláticos sobre a taxa de eclosão de ovos embrionados de tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) nas seguintes concentrações: Oxitetraciclina (T1C1 – 10 mg/L; T1C2 – 25 mg/L; T1C3 – 50 mg/L; T1C4 – 100 mg/L); Cloreto de Sódio (T2C1 – 2,5 g/L/ T2C2 – 5,0 g/L; T2C3 – 7,5 g/L; T2C4 – 10,0 g/L); Formol (T3C1 – 0,10 ml/L; T3C2 – 0,12 ml/L; T3C3 – 0,16 ml/L; T3C4 – 0,25 ml/L) e Iodo (T4C1 – 25 mg/L; T4C2 – 50 mg/L; T4C3 100 mg/L; T4C4 – 200 mg/L). Um grupo controle foi mantido sem agentes profiláticos. Oito horas após a fertilização, cem ovos embrionados foram separados em amostras, submetidos aos tratamentos em triplicata, em banhos de 10 minutos, nas respectivas concentrações e devolvidos às incubadoras experimentais até o momento da eclosão. Posteriormente, pela avaliação da quantidade de ovos não eclodidos, se obteve taxa de eclosão. Os tratamentos que utilizaram oxitetraciclina, cloreto de sódio e formol não apresentaram diferença estatística (P>0,05) para as taxas de eclosão em nenhuma das concentrações quando comparadas ao grupo controle. Contudo, a utilização do iodo em todas as concentrações testadas reduziu significativamente (P<0,05) a taxa de eclosão, quando comparado aos demais tratamentos e ao grupo controle. A oxitetraciclina, o cloreto de sódio e o formol, nas condições testadas, podem ser utilizados durante o período final de incubação dos ovos. Já o iodo deve ser submetido a novos testes, com tempos de exposição e concentrações diferentes.

The prophylactic treatment on fish eggs seeks to decrease pathogenic load on the egg’s surface without causing them any harm. One way of assuring that egg’s quality will not be reduced is by measuring eggs’ hatching success. However the chemical agents and their concentration to be used in breeding native species are not yet well defined. The aim of this work was to study and evaluate the influence of the most common prophylactic agents on eggs’ hatching success rate of tambaqui (Colossoma macropomum) in the following concentrations: Oxytetracycline (T1C1 - 10 mg / L; T1C2 - 25 mg / L; T1C3 - 50 mg / L; T1C4 - 100 mg / L); Sodium chloride (T2C1 - 2.5 g / L / T2C2 - 5.0 g / L; T2C3 - 7.5 g / L; T2C4 - 10.0 g / L); Formaldehyde (T3C1 - 0.10 ml / L; T3C2 - 0.12 ml / L; T3C3 - 0.16 ml / L; T3C4 - 0.25 ml / L) and iodine (T4C1 - 25 mg / L; T4C2 - 50 mg / L; T4C3 100 mg / L; T4C4 - 200 mg / L) and control. Eight hours after fertilization, one hundred eggs were separated into individual samples and each sample in triplicate, they received ten minutes bath treatments at their respective concentrations and returned to their experimental hatcheries until hatch occurs. Subsequently by the number of non-hatched eggs, the rate hatching was obtained. The treatments that used oxytetracycline, sodium chloride and formaldehyde did not differ statistically (P> 0.05) in the tested concentrations, as well as the hatching rates, respectively, showed no statistical difference (P> 0.05) when compared to the control. However, the use of iodine was more harmful to the eggs, in all tested concentrations it’s reduced significantly (P <0.05) when compared to other treatments and control in hatching rates. The prophylactic handling, in the way that has been tested, showed that oxytetracycline, sodium chloride, and formalin can be used without decreasing C. macropomum’s eggs hatching rates. Yet, iodine should be subjected to further tests with different times and concentrations.
