We bred two new chrysanthemum cultivars, 'Ryu-jin' and 'Touma'. These two cultivars flowered earlier than 'Arajin' under a low temperature, and their characteristics of flower and plant form is good as 'Arajin'. 'Ryujin' has good characteristics of the number of the florets, shoot length, that is the same as 'Arajin', in flowering in December. Under low temperature conditions, the days to flowering opening is the same as 'Jimba'#2 and the ratio of 2L-size is higher than 'Jimba'#2. And there are more florets of 'Ryujin' than 'Jimba'#2. It is suited to cultivate, flowering period, November to March. 'Touma' is not suited to cultivate, flowering period, November to December, because it is difficult to obtain enough flower weight. Under low temperature conditions, the days to flowering opening is slightly earlier than 'Jimba'#2, and the shoot length is longer than 'Arajin' and 'Jimba'#2, and the ratio of 2L is higher than 'Jimba'#2. And there are more florets of 'Touma' than 'jimba'#2. In the best stage for cutting, the florets of 'Touma' is tinged with green than 'Arajin' and 'Jimba'#2, but the color turns into white in flowering. It is suited to cultivate, flowering period, February to March. The two new chrysanthemum cultivars have few lateral buds, and the number from nursery plants in mother plants is less than 'Arajin'.
