Attract-kill-trap and prevention method for the fungus moth, Morophagoides moriutii complex, were developed to prevent damage to the bed-logs of the mushroom species, Lentinula edodes. The moth was found to be attracted and succesfully killed by an ultraviolet LED light-trap equipped with viscid trap-sheet. This light-trap was found to be more effective to set at lower position and to set among the bed-logs which were covered with fine netting. Then resulting trap-killing/emergencing ratio was enhanced to 72%. It was succesfully reared with bed-logs in the humid soil condition (60% water content), but not in the dry condition (20% water content). Accordingly, it was supposed to be prevented when the soil condition of the bed-log laying yard would be kept dryer. As a result some Shiitake growers started to use the ultraviolet LED light-trap and to change the soil condition of the bed-log laying yard.
