Evaluación de la fitotoxicidad de diferentes concentraciones de aceites ozonizados en plantas indicadoras. Caso: ahuyama bolo verde (Cucúrbita moschata).

Los aceites ozonizados han sido utilizados en múltiples cultivos, y se ha demostrado que estos tienen efectos en el manejo de plagas y enfermedades, control de virus y bacterias y algunos estudios destacan su posible efecto bioestimulante en los cultivos. Por ello se hace necesario realizar cada vez más ensayos que amplíen sobre el potencial y los alcances de los aceites ozonizados, sus dosis y los cultivos aptos. El presente proyecto se realizó en el Jardín Botánico de la Universidad de Caldas en el área de cultivos hidropónicos, con el objetivo de determinar los límites de la concentración y tipo de aplicación (foliar o drench) que puede causar fitotoxicidad para cada tipo de aceite (tipo A y tipo B), en el caso experimental de la ahuyama bolo verde Cucurbita moschata. Se empleó un diseño experimental completamente al azar con un arreglo factorial, en donde se obtuvieron como principales resultados que el tratamiento 5 fue el que presento mayor incidencia y severidad al finalizar el estudio alcanzando la muerte completa de las plantas, comparado con el testigo el cual nunca mostró fitotoxicidad; el efecto fitotóxico también se vio reflejado en diferentes variables evaluadas.

Ozonated oils have been used in multiple crops, and it has been shown that they have effects on pest and disease control, inactivation of viruses and bacteria, and some studies highlight their possible biostimulant effect on crops. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out more and more tests that expand the potential and scope of ozonated oils, their doses and suitable crops. The present project was carried out in the Botanical Garden of the University of Caldas in the area of hydroponic crops, with the objective of determining the limits of the concentration and type of application (foliar or drench) that can cause phytotoxicity for each type of oil (type A and type B), in the experimental case of the green bolus squash Cucurbita moschata. A completely randomized experimental design was used with a factorial arrangement, where the main results were obtained that treatment 5 was the one that presented the highest incidence and severity at the end of the study, reaching the complete death of the plants, compared to the control which It never showed phytotoxicity, the phytotoxic effect was also reflected in different variables evaluated.
