In order to facilitate the participation of workers in various health facilities and other stakeholders in this cross-sectional study, especially in screening for Campylobacter and Salmonella species, a training workshop on diagnosis of important food- and water-borne zoonotic infections was conducted at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Sokoine University of Agriculture. At the end of the project, a dissemination workshop involving 148 stakeholders (60.1% females and 39.9% males) was organized in order to provide feedback on the research results and to involve participants in synthesizing them and providing recommendations.
