Some examples of Kclay calculation are given from the Kf or Kd for whole soils (Ksoil) found in the literature. In all cases, a decrease in the variation coefficient from Ksoil to Kclay is found. However this concept must not be generalised. Research is needed to increase data on PIPs sorption in soils and a better characterisation of their clay fractions. In addition an actual Kclay was measured by determining the adsorption of selected pesticides on natural ecay fractions separated from the soils. These measured Kclay allow to assess the validation of the calculated Kclay.
