Konzept für ein Biodiversitätsmonitoring in Kleingewässern der Agrarlandschaft in Deutschland | Concept for biodiversity monitoring in small water bodies of the agricultural landscape in Germany

Немецкий. Intensive landwirtschaftliche Nutzung kann zu Gewässerbelastungen durch Pflanzenschutzmittel oder Nährstoffüberschüsse führen und die Habitatqualität und -quantität beeinträchtigen. Das kann zu negativen Auswirkungen auf aquatische Organismen in der Agrarlandschaft führen. Mit dem vorliegenden Konzept sollen Zustand, Trends und Belastungsfaktoren der Biodiversität in stehenden Kleingewässern der Agrarlandschaft Deutschlands erfasst werden. Dabei werden Daten zur Diversität der ausgewählten Organismengruppe des Makrozoobenhtos (am Gewässergrund lebende wirbellose Organismen, z.B. Insekten) systematisch in verschiedenen Kleingewässertypen und Agrarräumen erhoben. Organismen des Makrozoobenthos sind nachgewiesenermaßen gute Bioindikatoren für eine Vielzahl an anthropogenen Veränderungen in Ökosystemen. Die im Konzept berücksichtigten Kleingewässertypen sind die Sölle der nordostdeutschen Tiefebene, die Heideweiher des nordwestdeutschen Tieflandes, die Moortümpel Nord- und Mitteldeutschlands, sowie die ubiquitären Alt- und Auengewässer. Die vier berücksichtigten Agrarräume, die aus dem Projekt „BM-Landwirtschaft“ übernommen wurden, sind Regionen des intensiven Ackerbaus, des hoch-intensiven Ackerbaus, der hochintensiven Schweine- und Geflügelzucht sowie der hochintensiven Rinderhaltung. Im Rahmen eines Trendmonitorings sollen für alle genannten Kleingewässer- und Agrarraum-Typen biodiversitätsrelevante Indikatoren erhoben werden. Als Datengrundlagen dienen neben Feld-Erhebungen auch fernerkundungsbasierte Daten. Die Indikatoren dienen zur Erfassung und Bewertung des Zustands der Biodiversität (drei Indikatoren) und der Wirkung (zwei Indikatoren) entsprechender Belastungsfaktoren (fünf Indikatoren). Dabei erlauben besonders die beiden Wirkungsindikatoren „Biodiversität und Pflanzenschutz“ sowie „Biodiversität und Habitatvielfalt“ Rückschlüsse auf den direkten Zusammenhang zwischen Biodiversität und Gefährdungsursachen. Die Datenauswertung erfolgt sowohl auf nationaler Ebene für die gesamte offene Agrarlandschaft als auch auf der Ebene der Agrarräume. Die vorgestellten Indikatoren sollen dabei alle fünf Jahre aktualisiert und berichtet werden. Durch den Anlagen-basierten Charakter des Konzeptes sind die Indikatoren zukünftig methodisch beständig aktualisierbar und das Indikatoren-Set ggfs. erweiterbar. Poweranalysen haben ergeben, dass eine Stichprobe von n = 80 Kleingewässern je Kleingewässertyp / Agrarraum geeignet ist, um Biodiversitätsveränderungen von 10% zwischen den Erhebungszeiträumen nachzuweisen. Die Gesamtstichprobe von n = 320 für vier Kleingewässertypen wird paritätisch auf der Grundlage der Anteile der beiden häufigsten Agrarraumtypen im Verbreitungsgebiet des jeweiligen Kleingewässertyps zusammengestellt. Das Konzept stellt außerdem einen Verteilungsschlüssel der Stichprobengewässer für die jeweiligen Bundesländer je Agrarraum und Kleingewässertyp bereit. Es wird vorgeschlagen, das Indikatoren-Set durch drei Module eines vertiefenden Monitorings zu erweitern. Einer dieser Indikatoren soll Frequenz und Ausmaß von Austrocknung der Gewässer als Folge des Klimawandels dokumentieren. Daneben wird empfohlen, den Zustand der Biodiversität ebenfalls im Kleingewässertyp der Quellgewässer in drei relevanten Agrarräumen sowie die Biodiversität der Kleingewässer im relevanten Agrarraum „Heterogenes Grünland-Mosaik“ zu erheben. Die bereits am Julius Kühn-Institut zur Umsetzung des Nationalen Aktionsplans Pflanzenschutz (NAP) entwickelte Datenbankstruktur ist auch für die Umsetzung des MonViA-Monitorings der Biodiversität in Kleingewässern geeignet. Auch für die Daten der aus Fernerkundung abgeleiteten Belastungsindikatoren steht bereits eine adäquate Datenmanagementstruktur zur Verfügung. Ein externer Zugriff auf die Daten wird über ein fertig entwickeltes Wissensportal des Julius Kühn-Instituts zum Thema Kleingewässerschutz in Agrarlandschaften gewährleistet. Hier wurden bereits entsprechende Routinen zur Darstellung des MonViA-Indikatorensets implementiert.

Английский. Agricultural land use can lead to nutrient and pesticide pollution as well as habitat degradation in small lentic water bodies. It might result impair natural biodiversity in these ecosystems. The present concept aims at recording status, trends and drivers of biodiversity in small lentic water bodies in Germany's agricultural landscape. Data on the diversity of the selected organism group of benthic invertebrates (invertebrate organisms living at the bottom of water bodies, e.g. insects) are systematically collected in different types of small lentic bodies and agricultural land system types. Benthic invertebrates have been proven to be excellent bioindicators for a variety of anthropogenic impacts on ecosystems. Types of small lentic bodies considered in the concept are kettle holes of the north-eastern German lowlands, heath ponds of the north-western German lowlands, bog ponds of northern and central Germany, and the ubiquitous oxbow lakes and floodplain waters. Five agricultural land system types are considered, which were adopted from the project „BM-Landwirtschaft“. They include „moderate intensity arable crop farming“, „high intensity arable crop farming“, „high-intensity pig and poultry farming“, and „high intensity cattle farming“. The continuous assessment will be based on biodiversity-relevant indicators for the entire set of above-mentioned types of small water bodies and agricultural land system types. The indicators serve to record and assess the state of biodiversity (three indicators) and the impact (two indicators) of corresponding pressure factors (five indicators). In particular, the two impact indicators "biodiversity and plant protection" as well as "biodiversity and habitat quality" allow conclusions about the direct impact of agricultural pressures on biodiversity. Data evaluation will be carried out for both, the national level of the entire open agricultural landscape and each of the agricultural land system types. The indicators will be updated and reported on every five years. Due to the annex-based character of the concept, the indicators can be modified and the indicator set can be expanded if necessary. Power analyses resulted in a sample of n = 80 small water bodies per small water body type / agricultural land system type needed for measuring changes of about 10% of Shannon biodiversity in the five-year reporting cycle. The total sample is distributed according to the proportions of the two most common agricultural land system types in the range of the respective small water body type. The concept also provides a distribution key for the number of sampled waters per agricultural land system type and small water body type for the federal states concerned. It is proposed to expand the set of indicators by three modules of question-based monitoring. One of these is supposed to document frequency and extent of desiccation of small lentic water bodies as a result of climate change. In addition, it is recommended to additionally survey the state of biodiversity of spring waters for three relevant agricultural land system types as well as in small lentic water bodies of the land system type "diverse grassland mosaic". The database structure already developed at the Julius Kühn Institute for the implementation of the National Action Plan for Plant Protection (NAP) is also suitable for the implementation of the MonViA monitoring of biodiversity in small water bodies. Additionally, an adequate data management structure is already available for the data of the pressure indicators derived from remote sensing. Access to the data is guaranteed via a fully developed information platform on small water body protection in agricultural landscapes at Julius Kühn Institute. In addition, corresponding routines for the presentation of the MonViA indicator set have already been implemented.
