Recuperación de aguas residuales grises mediante biofiltros

The research project “Recovery of gray waste water by means of bio filters ". It was developed in the Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Academic Unit (UA-CAREN), in the academic block (11). With the aim to improve the management of the waste water, the current model was evaluated carrying out a raising of information about the gray waters in the bar´s wash basins, baths and kitchen. The methodology that was applied was the volumetric appraisal for determining the flow of water; the raising of information of the area of study, and the analysis of residual water, both allowed to implement the prototype of the system of treatment. The results established that 14.90 m3 of residual gray daily water is generated by the academic block during its 10 working hours which are unloaded to the septic well. With a previous treatment it can be re-used. The water quality was determined by the laboratory analysis which indicated that exists a high biochemical demand of oxygen (DBO), being the result of 1027.2 mg/L as the chemical demand of oxygen (DQO) of 2670 mg/L that in comparison with the in force regulation of the Text Unified of Environmental Secondary Legislation of the Department of the Environment (TULSMA) exceed the permissible levels. Due to the fact that it is soapy water, the uptight actives exceeded the permissible levels throwing a result of 21.79 mg/L exceeding to the equal one the maximum permissible levels.

El proyecto de investigación “Recuperación de aguas residuales grises mediante bio-filtros”, se desarrolló en la Unidad Académica de Ciencias Agropecuarias y Recursos Naturales (UA-CAREN), en el bloque académico (11). Con el objetivo de mejorar la gestión de las aguas residuales, se evaluó el modelo vigente realizando un levantamiento de información de aguas grises de los lavabos, baños y cocina del bar. Se utilizó como metodología el aforo volumétrico para determinar el caudal de agua, el levantamiento de información del área de estudio, y el análisis de agua residual, dichas actividades permitieron implementar el prototipo del sistema de tratamiento. Los resultados establecieron que se genera 14.90 m3 de agua residual gris diaria que emite el bloque académico durante sus diez horas laborables, las que son descargadas al pozo séptico. Con un tratamiento previo pueden ser reutilizadas. La calidad de agua se determinó mediante el análisis de laboratorio el cual indicó que existe una demanda bioquímica de oxígeno (DBO) alta, siendo el resultado de 1027.2 mg/L al igual que la demanda química de oxígeno (DQO) de 2670 mg/L que en comparación con la normativa vigente del Texto Unificado de Legislación Ambiental Secundaria del Ministerio del Ambiente (TULSMA) sobrepasan los niveles permisibles.
